Confirmation of HIT with TA V3 Thrombo-Aggregometer

HIT Platelet aggregation

According to the British Society for Haematology (BSH) Clinical guidelines for Diagnosis and Management of Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia: Third edition, the Functional assays performed by expert centres should be considered for confirmation of HIT where possible. When confirmation of HIT is required, activation assays should be used to demonstrate inhibition of platelet activation with excess heparin. It is recommended that donor platelets be confirmed to be sensitive to HIT-positive material prior to use.

Light transmission aggregometry (LTA)

Standard LTA relies on detecting increased light transmission that correlates with the formation of platelet aggregates in the presence of both patient plasma and heparin (0.1–0.5 IU/mL) and which is inhibited by an increased concentration of heparin (100 IU/mL) in the test system.

Best in class, compact, easy-to-use, reliable and connectable, the TA 4-V3 or TA 8-V3 Thrombo-Aggregometer is a valuable choice for platelet function testing.

The TA 4-V3 or TA 8-V3 is the choice of simplicity with the remote connection, to visualise, analyse, comment, save and export patient results remotely.

Added to the local laboratory IT network, the new TA 4-V3 or TA 8-V3 Thrombo-Aggregometer by Stago offers the possibility to visualise, analyse, comment, save and export patient results remotely.

With less plasmas rejected thanks to the infrared wavelength used, time savings with up to 8 patients in parallel, an intuitive software and an easy-to-use panel of IVD and validated agonists, the TA 4-V3 or TA 8-V3 is a valuable choice for productivity.

Real-time recording, reagent traceability and patient history make the TA 4-V3 or TA 8-V3 a valuable choice for reliability.

Stago offers 6 reagents for use on the the new TA 4-V3 or TA 8-V3 Thrombo-Aggregometer : Arachidonic Acid, Collagen, ADP, TRAP-6, Epinephrin and ristocetin.
